Red Square. The Soviet Union was no more, and an American could be a tourist at Red Square! It seemed unbelievable. There are no photos in this series to record the celebratory atmosphere of the scientists on the boat, but there was a universal sense of delight that the world had changed so that scientists of all nations could gather and be free.
