Next morning, we bicycled to the Westerpark, which has recently been enlarged. In former years, there were huge gas tanks in this area that supplied natural gas to the city. Before that, this was where the city's coal supply was kept. Coal men delivered the coal to houses using horse carts. They filled their carts in this area near the harbor, which has now been converted to park. The restaurant you see is located in the building where they used to come and pay for the coal. The breakfast included all the kinds of bread you see, homemade jam, fresh orange juice, and coffee.
